史蒂夫·塔特尔（Buck Jones）是一个十分懒惰的乡村农民，每天最喜欢的事就是打盹睡懒觉，因此被人们称之为“懒骨头”。某日，他钓鱼的时候，偶然发现了想要自杀的露丝·范宁（Zasu Pitts），经过询问后得知，原来露丝与一位水手私定终生，但水手在海上不幸丧生，而露丝却生下了水手的孩子，害怕母亲知道真相的露丝被迫无奈而选择轻生，好心的史蒂夫劝露丝勇敢告诉母亲真相，并愿意暂时帮露丝抚养孩子，但露丝的母亲知道真相后，坚决禁止露丝认领孩子，并要求她立即出嫁，史蒂夫被迫无奈只好将孩子一直养下去，并为此而和自己的女友艾格尼丝（Jane Novak）分手。　　弗兰克·鲍沙其导演作品，像他的诸多默片作品一样，镜头漂亮，技巧娴熟，对感情的处理细致入微十分动人。但不太一样的地方是，相比较鲍沙其其他几部更为人熟知的电影而言（像是珍妮盖诺和法莱尔那几部），本片要更为现实，爱情并没有拯救一切的力量，最后也没有迎来大团圆结局，整个故事满是遗憾与哀伤，但一切都被处理地十分低调细微，不至于太过情节剧化。　　片中的一众演员都表现得十分出色，尽管如今大部分已经为人所遗忘，饰演男主的Buck Jones通常活跃于西部片中，但在本片中他将一个夹杂着剧情片与喜剧片特质的角色处理得十分成功，眼神尤为具有感染力。　　最后特别表达一下对本片配乐的喜爱，静谧又掺杂着几分忧伤，与简朴怀旧的乡村布景相得益彰，也将整个故事衬托得更加细腻动人。

　　As told to a psychiatrist: Mr. Peabody, middle-aged Bostonian on vacation with his wife in the Caribbean, hears mysterious, wordless singing on an uninhabited rock in the bay. Fishing in the vicinity, he catches...a mermaid. He takes her home and, though she has no spoken language, falls in love with her. When two officers filming a reality show go missing in the woods, their recovered footage exposes a nightmarish fight for survival against malicious entities dwelling in the forest.

Released in France as La Kermesse Heroique, Carnival in Flanders is set during the long-ago war between the Dutch and Spanish. A tiny village in Flanders is invaded by Spanish troops. The townsfolk have heard of Spanish cruelties in other towns, and decide to deflect the vanquishers by playing dead. This isn't terribly effective (you have to take a breath once in a while), so the wife of the burgomaster tries to soften up the invaders with a lavish carnival. So successful is this venture that the Spaniards allow the village to escape being decimated, or even taxed. An award-winner many times over, Carnival in Flanders was banned in Germany; evidently, Goebbels caught on that director Jacques Feyder and scenarists Bernard Zimmer and Charles Spaak were drawing deliberate parallels between the Spanish and the then-burgeoning Nazis.

　　It follows a hard-driving LA wine-company executive who travels to an Australian sheep station to land a major client and there she ends up working as a ranch hand and sparking with a rugged local.

　　ABC喜剧电视剧《喜新不厌旧》（Black-ish）的创作人肯雅·巴瑞斯（Kenya Barris）将翻拍1992年的篮球喜剧电影《黑白游龙》（White Men Can’t Jump），NBA洛杉矶快船队（Los Angeles Clippers）的球员布雷克·格里芬（Blake Griffin）与NFL卡罗莱纳黑豹橄榄球队球员瑞恩·卡利（Ryan Kalil）也将参与制片。　　老版《黑白游龙》讲述了韦斯利·斯奈普（Wesley Snipes）饰演的西德尼（Sidney Deane）和伍德·哈里森（Woody Harrelson）饰演的比利（Billy Hoyle）合伙利用打球、赌球行骗的故事。比利是个白人，黑人街头篮球手往往认为他不会打球，从而轻敌输了比赛。　　本片的片名“White Men Can’t Jump”是西德尼打趣比利的话，因为他说他不会扣篮。　　新版《黑白游龙》仍然由20世纪福克斯公司制作发行。
